COACHING STAFF |
Kaitlyn Dulac enters her sixth year as the head coach of the Spartan softball program in 2025. She was selected to lead the program on August 23, 2019.
Her first year was a unique one as COVID-19 limited the Spartans to 12 games during the 2020 season. The Spartans were 9-3 including earning a dramatic 3-2 win over #23 Trine during York's spring trip to Florida.
The Spartans came back from COVID on a mission as the Green and White steamrolled through the limited conference-only schedule in 2021. The Spartans captured the regular season crown with an 11-5 mark and then went 6-1 in the tournament to earn the program’s first-ever conference championship. The Spartans outscored their three tournament foes 43-9 in route to the championship. The Spartans had a strong showing in their second NCAA Tournament appearance in school history as York went 2-2 advancing to the third day of play before being eliminated. The Spartans placed four players on the MAC All-Commonwealth squad. Alyssa Harhigh and Elle Meyer were first team selections while Daphney Adams was a second team pick. Shyla Pastore was an honorable mention selection. Adams was named the MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year. Harhigh was an NFCA All-Region pick as a junior.
The 2022 campaign was another strong one as the Green and White went 22-13 overall and recorded another 11-win conference season. Unfortunately for the Spartans, York didn’t get the chance to defend their title as the tournament was cut short due to rain after the Green and White went 1-1 in the first two rounds of the tournament. Five Spartans were named all-conference as Daphney Adams and Alyssa Harhigh earned first-team honors. Taylor Lindsay and Elle Meyer were second-team selections while Emma Wade was an honorable mention honoree. Meyer was a second-team All-Region pick. The Spartans finished sixth in the country in GPA according to the NFCA national rankings.
The 2023 season was another one of accomplishment as the Spartans earned their second MAC Commonwealth title and third NCAA tournament berth. The Spartans won six straight at the end of the regular season to go into the tournament hot. The Spartans dropped their first tournament game and then won five straight including a pair over top seeded Lebanon Valley to earn the tournament title. The Spartans finished the season with 23 wins with the fifth hardest schedule in Division III. York placed six players on the MAC All-Commonwealth squad headlined by three-time first-team MAC All-Commonwealth honoree Alyssa Harhigh. Harhigh was joined on the NFCA All-Region V squad by Amanda Criss and Morgan Sauers. York also finished second in the nation NFCA Academic rankings as York boasted a team GPA of 3.761.
The Spartans racked up 26 wins in 2024 and came up short of their third MAC Commonwealth title as they fell to champion Eastern in the final game of the conference tournament. Dulac collected her 100th win during York's Commonwealth postseason run with a 5-3 victory over Messiah on May 3. Junior slugger Emma Wade put together a milestone season as she earned NFCA Second Team All-American honors in addition to earning CSC First Team Academic All-America status. Wade led the nation in RBI (72), while she ranked first in the conference in OPS (1.338), RBI, slugging pct. (.845) and home runs (13) as she was tabbed the Commonwealth Player of the Year. In addition to Wade, Daphney Adams and Gretchen Bartsad earned NFCA All-Region honors, while six Spartans earned All-Commonwealth honors.
