Kaitlyn Dulac | Head Coach
Kaitlyn Dulac became the Spartans’ ninth head softball coach in the 41-year history of the program as she selected to lead the program on August 23, 2019.
Dulac comes to the program after serving the last four years as the lead assistant coach at Washington University in St. Louis. The Bears made two NCAA tournament trips and totaled 93 wins during Dulac's tenure in St. Louis. WashU won the 2017 University Athletic Association championship as the Bears' coaching staff was named the UAA Coaching Staff of the Year.
Dulac brings 11 years of coaching experience the Spartan program. Prior to her time in St. Louis, she was the head junior varsity and assistant varsity coach at La Salle Academy in Providence, Rhode Island. Dulac also spent four years (2009-12) as an assistant varsity coach at St. Mary Academy in East Providence.
She was an outstanding four-year starter at Ithaca College. Dulac hit .496 as a senior in 2006, earning the Empire 8 Player of the Year honors and National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Third-Team All-America honors. She helped lead Ithaca to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including trips to the World Series in 2005 and 2006.
Dulac was a four-time all-conference selection and picked up ESPN The Magazine First-Team Academic All-District honors in 2006. She ranks third in school history in batting average (.372), fourth in RBIs (110) and seventh in runs scored (109).
She graduated with a bachelor's degree in sport management from Ithaca in 2006, and a master's degree in business administration from Ithaca in 2007. Dulac also received her Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 2010.
Eric Behrenshausen | Assistant Coach
Eric Behrenshausen enters his third year on the Spartan coaching staff for the 2016-17 academic year.
Behrenshausen comes to York after spending over 25 years in the high school softball coaching ranks. He spent most of his tenure as the head varsity softball coach at Carlisle High School where his teams competed in the highly-competitive Mid-Penn Commonwealth Division against the top talent in the midstate region. While at Carlisle, Behrenshausen was a three-time Carlisle Sentinel Softball Coach of the Year recipient. He led the Thundering Herd to the program's first-ever postseason appearance in 1997 and guided his teams to multiple appearances in the PIAA District III playoffs. Behrenshausen also spent three seasons as the varsity assistant head coach at Boiling Springs High School where he helped lead the Bubblers to three Mid-Penn Capital Division Championships, a PIAA District III runner-up title and a trip to the PIAA state playoffs.
In addition to his high school coaching experience, Behrenshausen also spent many years coaching at the club level. He co-founded the Cumberland County Magic travel softball team in 2001 and held the office of vice president for the organization from 2001-2007. He was also the head coach for the 14U, 16U and 18U teams during his tenure with the Magic.
During his time coaching at the high school and club level, Behrenshausen saw many of his players continue their careers at the college level, most notably NFCA All-American Christina Wessman (Messiah College) and two-time All-Freedom Conference selection Lindsay Behrenshausen (Wilkes University).
Behrenshausen retired from teaching in June 2016 after spending 36 years as an elementary physical education teacher for the Carlisle Area School District. He resides in Mount Holly Springs, Pa. with his wife of 32 years, Cheryl. They have two children, Lindsay and Derek.
